Oils and fats for oleochemical and technical applications

Oleochemistry

We offer different types of vegetable oils and animal fats for oleochemical and technical applications. The significance of vegetable oils will increase in the future, especially in the field of lubricants, because legislation increasingly prohibits the use of mineral oil-based products for applications in ecologically sensitive areas (e.g. on water, in forests).

Animal fats play a central role in the production of fatty acids and provide an important alternative to palm oil.

Technical products

Used Cooking Oil, ISCC-EU

(UCO, used cooking oil, cooking oil and deep-frying oil)
  • Description:
Yellowish to brownish liquid with a typical odor.
  • Manufacturing:
The used edible oil from the food industry is specially cleaned and is ideally suited for the production of bioenergy.
  • Application:
    Biodiesel and technical applications.
  • Specification:

Category 3 animal fats, ISCC-EU

  • Description:
Brownish liquid with a typical odor.
  • Manufacturing:
Animal fats are obtained from slaughter by-products of different animal species.
  • Application:
    Biodiesel and oleochemicals.

Refined glycerin

(Glycerine, glycerol, propane-1,2,3-triol, E 422)
  • Description:
    Clear, colorless and sweet-tasting liquid.
  • Manufacturing:
Mostly pure vegetable oils and fats are processed to produce biodiesel. Raw glycerin is derived with a glycerin content of approx. 60% - 80%. The subsequent refining process leads to a purity of at least 99.5%.
  • Application:
Medicines, food, cosmetics, tobacco, e-cigarette liquids as well as antifreeze, lubricants, plasticizers and other technical applications.
  • Specification:

Vegetable and animal fatty acids

  • Description:
Light to dark yellow oily liquid with a typical odor.
  • Manufacturing:
Fatty acid methyl esters are obtained from the processing of vegetable oils.
  • Application:
Bioenergy, cleaning of coke oven gas and many other technical applications.
  • Specification:

Beef Tallow

  • Description:
    Solid yellowish-white mass.
  • Manufacturing:
Beef tallow is obtained by melting parts of beef slaughter-by-products.
  • Application:
Birdseed (tit dumplings), candle and soap production, oleic acid for oleochemicals, lubricants.

Sustainability

Most of the products we trade are so-called residual materials for which there are no other uses. The use of these by-products makes it possible to save CO2 greenhouse gases, which constitutes a particularly important environmental aspect.

This is why we are officially certified by the state-approved certification system ISCC EU.
